Interesting thoughts Mateja. It does make sense that people with low self-worth try to overcompensate by showing behaviors on the opposite spectrum, such as arrogance and putting down others.

You mention that low self-esteem could lead to someone wanting to get recognition or climb the corporate ladder. Do you think then, that many successful people are fuelled by low self-confidence?

As in, they always feel that what they are and what they have are not enough, so they have to reach for more?
